Most people consider TCM or Traditional Chinese Medicine to be what is standardly practiced. This is correct. TCM is about diagnosing and treating one's current pattern of symptoms, making it an excellent form of medicine to be practiced in American hospitals. Dr. Guimond practices Five Element Acupuncture, which is about treating one's core or root problems, also known as treating one's Constitution. Within her doctorate, she is also trained in 6 Stages, which is about fighting off invading pathogens, Japanese acupuncture (which is refined palpation and gentle, precise treatments, and Korean (specifically Hand Acupuncture and Auricular (NADA-certified,) which are theories of treating the entire body through the microcosm of the hand or ear. All forms of acupuncture performed at Divinitude use the same catelogued standard point system, with some modification for Worsley Style numbering of points. There is no difference in cost of services for any form used.
