What Can We Treat at Divinitude?

Chronic Pain

Millions of Americans suffer daily through various pain syndromes. Chinese Medicine, Massage & Reiki all work with the body's energetic pathways to uncover the root causes of pain and how it affects all other systems on a mind/body/spirit level.

Unlike common remedies for pain such as opioids, acupuncture, massage, reiki & other non-invasive modalities used by integrative practitioners are known to reduce pain without affecting normal function, allowing people to continue with their daily routines without the use of habit-forming medication that has long-term consequences. Furthermore, for those patients who wish to taper their medications while exploring other options for pain, acupuncture is known to help with the side effects of harm-reduction techniques.

With a priority on whole system healing, we focus not only on pain-reduction, but also restoration of normal functions that will help reduce chronic pain: from sleep cycle analysis, meditative movement therapies, therapeutic massage & heat therapies, nutritional assessment and seasonal eating plans, and self-care help during major seasonal and life transitions.

Mental/Emotional Health

At Divinitude, we understand the role that mental health issues play in our overall health and well-being. Emotional regulation is at the heart of handling common mental health diagnoses including depression and general anxiety disorders.

Understanding that our emotional responses to stressful conditions play a role in all aspects of our well-being, it is no surprise that stress disorders are often found at the root of chronic physical pain syndromes: from tension headaches and migraines, sleep apnea and other chronic sleep disorders, complicated endocrine pathologies, cardiovascular issues such as high blood pressure, and immunological responses to disease processes.

We also understand that much of our stress has to do with things that are beyond our control: money, work, family dynamics, and the pressures of life all must be taken into consideration. With unnatural schedules that disrupt the natural cycles of life, it should come as no surprise that we struggle emotionally and mentally.

Massage, Reiki, Acupuncture and other body work is an excellent partner in your self-care routines to reduce stress, calm the body, and restore your health!

Addiction Issues

Addiction to substances can come in many forms: it can take physical, emotional, financial and spiritual tolls on both individuals and their families and support networks. Acupuncture is an integrative modality that helps calm the nervous system that can lead to unhealthy relationships with everything from tobacco, alcohol, and drugs to shopping, eating, gambling, and toxic relationships.

We work to create lifestyle plans that include changes in nutrition, circadian rhythm cycles, and work-life schedules that will help curb cravings, restore regular bodily functioning and help achieve the balance that may have been disrupted with cycles of addiction.

The body of evidence for acupuncture for the treatment of addiction is well known in the US. Therapeutic massage, Reiki, and Wellness Coaching are also powerful forms of self-care tools that can help the body conquer addiction once and for all.
